Divorce and Property Settlement Assistance
If you own a business and are in the process of going through a divorce or property settlement, then you will need to have a valuation undertaken for your business. While we don’t perform valuations for these purposes, it is very important that you have an accountant who can discuss the relevant business issues with the valuer so that the valuer is fully informed about all of the aspects of the business so the valuation is accurate and cannot be used as grounds for reopening the settlement later. We can also provide advice regarding the taxation implications for the components of a proposed property settlement so that you are fully aware of the outcome from any proposed settlement before agreement is reached.
